DIPS: Dual-Interface Dual-Pipeline Scheduling for Energy-Efficient Multihop Communications in IoT

摘要:
The future Internet of Things (IoT) will enable Internet connectivity for a vast amount of battery-powered devices, which usually need to communicate with each other or to some remote gateways through multihop communications. Although ZigBee has become a widely used communication technology in IoT, Wi-Fi, on the other hand, has its unique advantages such as high throughput and native IP compatibility, despite its potentially higher energy consumption. With the development of IoT, more and more IoT devices are equipped with multiple radio interfaces, such as both Wi-Fi and ZigBee. Inspired by this, we propose a dual-interface dual-pipeline scheduling (DIPS) scheme, which leverages an activation pipeline mainly constructed by low-power ZigBee interfaces to wake up a data pipeline constructed by high-power Wi-Fi interfaces on demand, toward enabling multihop data delivery in IoT. The objective is to minimize network energy consumption while satisfying certain end-to-end delay requirements. Extensive simulations and prototype-based experiments have been conducted. The results show that the energy consumption of DIPS is 96.5% and 92.8% lower than that of the IEEE 802.11's standard power saving scheme and a state-of-the-art pipeline-based scheme in moderate traffic scenarios, respectively.

Although ZigBee has become a widely used communication technology in IoT, Wi-Fi, on the other hand, has its unique advantages such as high throughput and native IP compatibility, despite its potentially higher energy consumption. With the development of IoT, more and more IoT devices are equipped with multiple radio interfaces, such as both Wi-Fi and ZigBee. Inspired by this, we propose a cross-interface power saving management (CPSM) scheme, which leverages the existing low-power ZigBee interfaces to wake up the high-power Wi-Fi interfaces on demand towards enabling multi-hop communications in IoT. The objective is to minimize the network energy consumption while satisfying certain end-to-end delay requirements. The results of extensive simulations and prototype-based experiments have demonstrated that the energy consumption of our proposed CPSM is 79.2% and 68.9% lower than those of the IEEE 802.11’s standard power saving scheme and a state-of-the-art scheme in moderate traffic scenarios, respectively. © 2017 Elsevier B.V.

摘要:
Predicting traffic flow is one of the fundamental needs to comfortable travel, but this task is challenging in vehicular cyber–physical systems because of ever-increasing uncertain traffic big data. Although deep-learning (DL) methods with outstanding performance recently have become popular, most existing DL models for traffic flow prediction are fully deterministic and shed no light on data uncertainty. In this study, a novel fuzzy deep-learning approach called FDCN is proposed for predicting citywide traffic flow. This approach is built on the fuzzy theory and the deep residual network model. Our key idea is to introduce the fuzzy representation into the DL model to lessen the impact of data uncertainty. A model of fuzzy deep convolutional network is established to improve traffic flow prediction while investigating the spatial and temporal correlation of traffic flow. We further propose pre-training and fine-tuning strategies that efficiently learn parameters of the FDCN. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time that a fuzzy DL approach has been applied to represent traffic features for traffic flow prediction. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach to traffic flow prediction has superior performance compared with state-of-the-art approaches. © 2018 Elsevier B.V.

摘要:
Sensing image has important geographical structure for detection and identification of the sense. In military and civilian, they have very important significances. It is proposed by support vector machine (SVM) and local binary pattern model in high-resolution remote sensing image of detection algorithm. Firstly, according to the target resolution remote sensing image features, sample image's texture features and structure features have the reference points of information diffusion eigenvectors and sample-based training support vector machine classifiers to achieve goals coarse split. Then coarse segmentation results are the basis of the local binary pattern (LBP) model extraction precise contours. With one meter resolution satellite images experiment testing, the results are shown that the proposed algorithm has high accuracy and flexibility. It can be accurately detected by complex background target area with broad applicability. ©2013 by CESER Publications.

摘要:
With the different colourful gradient operators, the binding algorithm has been applied to image segmentation. In order to make the color image of the edge detection operator in line with the resolution of the human eye on the image information and prevent the problem of the over-detection of the edge of the insensitive area, the paper has proposed the combination algorithm using the adaptive color image and value estimation method of color threshold. The construction has comprised with the partial chromatic aberration of the brightness mask and the contrast sensitivity threshold. The paper has proposed visual impact of the weight factor to solve some problems of image segmentation. It is combined with the brightness and colors' information. The color of partial background is the spatial frequency of human vision. The experiment results have shown that the proposed algorithm can accurately detect the image edge and effectively resist noise image interference. ©2013 by CESER Publications.

摘要:
Level image segmentation method taking into account only the image data, and therefore covered the target, and similar to the background gray target to achieve the desired segmentation results. To address this issue, based on the edge and regional information, Apriori level set image segmentation methods. Firstly, the area of the image information into the edge-based level set method. Then we combined with the shape Apriori. Comparative experiment the surface of this method due to consider a variety of local information, are better able to complete the objectives to be covered split, similar to the background gray target to achieve better results. ©2013 by CESER Publications.

摘要:
It was found that the traditional Mean Shift algorithm segmentation often produces the connection channel, several categories between clusters can not be completely separated from the problem, an improved classification of the structured mean shift segmentation algorithm iterations to obtain the initial cluster in center on the basis of different bandwidth matrix stepwise clustering, resulting in a different class collection of cluster centers, and the establishment of a vested in the tree structure, ultimately through the attribution of the leaf nodes and the root node are classified in order to complete the image segmentation. Experiments show that the algorithm can better retain the image of local information, and has better applicability. ©2005 - 2012 JATIT &LLS. All rights reserved.

摘要:
Wireless sensor networks are composed of sensor nodes which are limited in computational capabilities, power and memory resources, and they are susceptible to a variety of security threats. Provable security plays an important role in designing and analyzing the security of protocols in wireless sensor networks. Firstly, the current situations of sensor network security, the security challenges and the security problems were presented. Secondly, the method of provable security is introduced and we review the formal analysis methods using in the WSN. As for the provable security of the wireless sensor network's protocols, the model-based method and the theoretical analysis method are mainly used. The comparisons were made to help researchers select and design the security protocols for wireless sensor networks. Finally, the further direction of sensor network security techniques is summarized and discussed. ©2012 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l.

Based on wavelet multi-resolution analysis and mean-shift Unsupervised texture segmentation method and the mean shift clustering based on wavelet feature completely unsupervised adaptive multi-scale segmentation and neither the need for training is not necessary to split the categorya priori knowledge of the number, etc. the method according to the strategy in scale between the transmission of information, adaptive to different regions of the image to determine the appropriate split of the scale, texture inner region using the coarse scale features at the junction between the different texture to use smaller scale features to ensure regional consistency to more accurately locate the image edge contrast experimental results show that the method has good performance in the synthetic textures and real texture image, multi-scale segmentation process is similar to human visual system, perception, and advantages compared to the traditional supervised segmentation method. ©2012 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l. - All rights reserved.

摘要:
The distributed architecture of a multi-camera surveillance system is given, a data fusion scheme using path model and estimated target shape changes is described, and a collaborative algorithm in distributed multi-camera surveillance system is proposed in order to track people reliably. Based on the results of multi-camera data fusion, the proposed algorithm allocates cameras to objects according to task priorities, the distance between camera and target and the visibility of targets, which is characterized by the system assigning cameras to the visible target with high priority and the nearest distance to the camera. It is called Priority and Distance Algorithm (PDA). The Quality of Service (QoS) function is introduced to describe the system performance. Experiment results show that the proposed method can coordinate cameras to track people reliably and has good robustness. ©2011 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l. - All rights reserved.

由于传感器节点能量受限,如何延长WSN的工作寿命是一重大挑战.提出了一种最大化WSN工作寿命的节点调度策略.首先使用线性规划方法计算网络的最大工作寿命,然后通过求负载矩阵、分解负载矩阵成调度矩阵序列和求传感器监控树,得到从活跃传感器节点到基站的优化节点调度.提出的策略从全局角度综合考虑传感器到基站的通信代价,优化了WSN中的节点调度,获得了WSN的最大工作寿命.仿真结果表明提出方法能有效延长WSN的工作寿命.

介绍了一种利用MATLAB信号处理工具箱快速有效地设计IIR滤波器的方法;给出了利用信号处理工具箱的FDATool工具进行界面设计的详细步骤,提出了使用MATLAB语言进行程序设计和使用Simulink进行仿真的方法.利用MATLAB设计IIR滤波器并进行仿真,可随时调整参数对比滤波器特性,快速得到仿真结果,直观方便,极大地减轻了工作量,提高了工作效率.
