Based on the coupling action of vehicle dynamic load and pavement a simplified vehicle dynamic load model is established, and new methods for calculating representative temperatures, accumulate action time of vehicle load and load revised parameters are proposed. At the same time, calculation method for rut prediction is formulated by using dynamic finite element method in the paper. Rut prediction calculations of a circuit test flexible pavement and a semi-rigid asphalt pavement are performed by the method, and their calculation results agree well with their test datum.
