Four novel pyridine Schiff bases derived from 2,6-pyridinedicarbaldehyde and substituted o-hydroxyl-aromatic amines and their manganese(ii) complexes were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, ESI-MS analysis, thermal analysis (TGA), H-NMR, IR and UV-vis.
