在老旧小区改造的大背景下，从老旧小区外部零散空间这一现象出发，按物质空间属性将其分为三大类空间，在分析其各自产生原因、空间特征以及活动特征后，提出了空间要素的重新整合与合理布局、空间功能的复合化设计、整体零散空间的串联三点规划改造的建议。
