历代词选操政者皆以独尊一家为主,有利于实践词人的词学主张,但不利于后世词学爱好者多样化的词学需求。叶申芗针对词坛选词弊病编纂《天籁轩词选》,以兼收并蓄之心意在调和浙西词派与常州词派,全面展示了两宋词学的面貌,在建构其词选范式时苏辛与周柳并举,实现了词选合流的局面。
