In the article, we investigate the distributed adaptive synchronization problem for complex networks with actuator faults under M-matrix approach. Firstly, a realistic discrete-time Markov chain is used to describe the stochastic behavior of actuator faults. Secondly, based on the distributed adaptive control scheme, some synchronization criteria for a class of complex networks with actuator faults are obtained.
