The Mg-3Li alloy has been extruded at different temperatures (extrusion temperatures of 240 degrees C, 270 degrees C, 300 degrees C, 330 degrees C, 370 degrees C) and the microstructure, texture and tensile properties of the extruded sheet are investigated. Results show that the average grain size increases, the basal texture weakens with the increase of extrusion temperature and the development of a transverse direction (TD)-split texture.
