Under the current three-dimensional GIS popular tendency, the designing and realization virtual campus system based on SketchUp and OpenGL is a new idea. In this paper, firstly we propose the framework and the technical route of virtual campus system, and then discuss the workflow of three-dimensional campus scene modeling based on SketchUP and the key technologies in the realization of the system.
