A convenient and efficient strategy for the synthesis of dibenzoxazepinamines and dibenzothiazepinamines has been developed. This three-component approach started from 2-nitrobenzaldehydes, 2-aminophenols, and methoxyammonium chlorides under metal-free conditions.
