Based on the static loading tests on ordinary pipe pile and enhanced pipe pile with concrete strain gauges mounted in them,the load transferring mechanism and load sharing of flange rib of enhanced pipe pile are studied through comparing the load-settlement curves,axial load distribution,behaviors of skin resistance and base resistance of two types of piles.Experimental results show that the shear fracture surface around enhanced pipe pile is greater than that of ordinary pipe pile,and the flange ribs of enhanced pipe pile remarkably reinforce skin resistance of pile.Under the maximal load,the...
