Solar photovoltaic/thermal integration (PV/T) and heat pump are very important techniques for energy conservation and carbon reduction. A practical design for an integrated PV/T and heat pump system is presented, the integrated system is called the Photovoltaic-Indirect Expansion Solar Assisted Heat Pump (PV-IESAHP) system, which uses the heat energy supplied by PV/T as an evaporating heat source and can achieve high coefficient of performance(COP).
