“缘”属于社会关系范畴，在草根体育组织的生成和运行过程中发挥着重要作用。草根体育组织中的“缘”可以分为地缘、业缘和趣缘，三种不同类型的草根体育组织在生成与运行过程中各有特点，但彼此之间有着内在关联，全面加强我国体育组织建设需要充分发挥“缘”在草根体育组织中的社会关系功能。
