Based on singular reflection phase properties, the high impedance surface of the high impedance surface materials was used to construct rectangular waveguide. A dipole antenna was put in the waveguide, and the finite difference time domain (FDTD) was used to simulate the return loss and H-plane and E-plane radiation pattern of the dipole antenna. The results show that the dipole antenna gain is greatly enhanced, and the good radiation direction is embodied.
