Polylactide is rarely used as a kind of fluorescence sensor material due to lack of luminescent group. To make up for this lack of features, in this paper, achiral 9,9-dipropynylfluorene-2-methanol (DODH) as a starting material was used to construct a luminescent oligomer (poly-(S)-DODH) via asymmetric coupling reaction, which exhibits good emission ability but low optical rotation value.
