Heavy metals (HMs) pose significant environmental risks due to their widespread presence. In particular, lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) can accumulate in the human body through prolonged exposure or bioaccumulation via the food chain, presenting substantial threats to human health and ecosystems.
